Stabilized

Unlike quick release products where there is greater potential nitrogen loss from volatilization and leaching, these products contain urease and nitrification inhibitors which allows for greater retention of nitrogen in the soil.  These products meet AAPFCO’s definition of stabilized nitrogen.

Readily available or broken down by microbial activity.

Stabilized Overview

With urea being the most popular source of nitrogen used for turfgrass fertilization, its use also has drawbacks given the limited amount of time nitrogen has to be taken up by the plant.  To optimize plant uptake, you need to minimize leaching and gaseous losses.

EC Grow offers a stabilized nitrogen that protects urea from volatilization and leaching.  High levels of DCD act as a nitrification inhibitor and also includes NBPT for ammonia volatility protection.

  • Reduces Volatilization and Leaching
  • Lime Green Color
  • No Detrimental Effects On Soil Microorganisms
  • Complete Granular Penetration

Recommend a minimum of 50% treated urea by weight for best results.
