Job Description

School Psychologist
Compensation Range: $65-69/hour

Location:   Jefferson, MI; Onsite – School Setting

Position Summary
The School Psychologist administers standardized cognitive, academic, and behavioral tests to evaluate students and write comprehensive diagnostic reports. They will also serve as a lead member of multidisciplinary teams to determine special education eligibility and help develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) At RCM Healthcare Services, we're passionate about connecting talented professionals with the right opportunities - join our network and be supported every step of the way.
Responsibilities

  • Shift details: School Day Schedule
  • Hours per week: 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract length: School Year
Key Duties
  • Conduct extensive psychological evaluation of referred pupils as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with teachers in developing curriculum, behavior management, and teaching strategies.
  • Consult and counsel referred pupils, administrators, school personnel, parents and others concerning students' educational needs.
  • Interpret psychological and other diagnostic data to school personnel, parents, pupils, and others.
  • Serve as a member of the Individual Educational Planning Team.
  • Make recommendations on ways to assist referred students(s).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deal with co-workers effectively and professionally.
  • Maintain regular, predictable in-person attendance.
  • Follow work rules.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Assume other duties as assigned by the Regional Director/Supervisor.
Requirements
Education

Masters or Ed.S. degree in School Psychology required.
Licenses & Certifications
    • Required: MI Educator Certificate
Skills
  • Experience in collaborative consultation. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, peers, parents, and the community.
  • Knowledge of general education curriculum and adaptation.
  • Experience in conducting functional behavior assessments and developing behavior. Technical literacy preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in written and oral modes.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
